Juan Ruiz BSc MD FRCPC

Dr. Juan Ruiz graduated from the Allergy and Immunology program at the University of British Columbia. His clinical interests include immunology, drug allergies, urticaria, allergic rhinitis, and peri-operative anaphylaxis. He is the director of the Peri-Operative Anaphylaxis Clinic (POAC) at Vancouver General Hospital. Recently, he joined St. Paul's Hospital and started a multidisciplinary clinic with ENT to serve patients with aspirin allergy and nasal polyposis. 


He completed a Bachelor of Science with honors in Cell Biology at the University of Alberta. After, he completed medical school and internal medicine residency at the University Calgary. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
